…a God who judges, condemns, hides behind scripture, requires blood sacrifices, and feels distant from the natural world?
For many of us, traditional theology has offered more confusion than clarity—more disconnection than devotion.
But what if God was never meant to be understood through man-made dogma, but through Creation, logic and reason itself?
Aaron Abke brings us full circle— exploring what Christ revealed about God through nature, reason, and truth itself.
Over the course of this series, we have explored the Ontology (the study of Being), Cosmology (the study of the Universe), and Soteriology (the study of Salvation) of Jesus’ teachings. Now, in this fourth masterclass, we are concluding with the final philosophical system: Theology. More specifically, we will be learning about Natural Theology.
As we know full well, this branch of philosophy tends to be the most problematic, as it has tended to be based on the subjective interpretation of the Bible, rather than on epistemology, ontology, and metaphysics. Theology tends to be “the wild west” of philosophy, as church fathers, writers, and clergymen have tended to make up their theological doctrines from whole cloth, based upon pre-existing religious suppositions and Bible interpretations.
Natural Theology, however, provides us with the solution to this problem.
- How can we know that God exists?
- What kind of being is God?
- Can we know God’s attributes (power, wisdom, unity, etc.)?
Likewise, Jesus also made many arguments for God's nature
from Natural Theology and Natural Law.
This session will challenge traditional religious theology and offer a practical approach to knowing, seeing, and communing with God through the Natural world itself—the very face of God.
- You’ve struggled with theology that feels rigid, contradictory, or disconnected from your inner understanding of God
- You long to know God through your own direct observation, reason, and intuition
- You resonate with the teachings of Jesus but not always with the church
- You crave spiritual clarity grounded in truth, not tradition
- You’re ready to explore the face of God through the natural world itself
